Fantastic pizza
|
Went to top of the town pizza in december 2010. was amazed and impressed at the transformation of the shop renovations, it is bright and very clean and the pizza's are to die for i have never tasted such a wonderful base and the fresh ingredients on top are of abundance, also the best garlic pizza i have ever tasted in my life. the new owners have really turned this place around and i would totally recommend anyone in the area or on holidays to go and try for yourself. will definately be back when on holidays. well done guys awesome pizza

Pizza
|
I rang up awhile ago and ordered a pizza for pickup. i wont go on and on. im just gonna say its a pretty poor effort.
i cant remeber exactly what pizza i ordered but it was stacked up high with this ham stuff and had a few little slices of mushroom and a few olives in the middle. literally a few. very very poor pizza. the shop looks pretty dirty aswell.
that said my gf reckons they make a awesome hawaiian, pretty hard to stuff up a hawaiian though

Was in this joint a couple of days ago: ordered pizza, orange juice, latte.
pizza and coffee came fairly quickly. oj never arrived (though saw woman on the counter write it down).
eventually went back over to ask about it; woman apologised, manager (who doesn't seem to take kindly to customers pointing out any problems) handed over a bottle of juice - took it, sat back down. looked at the label - it wasn't actually oj, but banana and something. didn't bother with going back this time; just drank it - partly because manager seemed to have a bad attitude and probably would've been more trouble than it was worth to raise it.
other matters:
- used loo while i was there, was extremely filthy, place generally seemed dirty, which is usually a good indication of a lack of cleanliness in kitchen/food preparation also
- while we were there, my friend noticed that they served a pizza to some guy who said that he hadn't ordered a pizza (so it seems they very regulary stuff orders up - either bring you stuff you didn't ask for, or don't bring you stuff you actually ordered)
- i was in this place also about a year or so ago - same manager was there (seems like the manager/owner anyway, older guy with dark hair). on that occasion i ordered a coffee, sat down. it hadn't arrived for quite some time (and i'm not an impatient person, i won't get up and query things unless there clearly seems to be a problem, or they've forgotten about the order), so i got up and asked about it. this manager type person then soon came over with the coffee and made some snide comment about 'are you thirsty mate?' - quite clearly he was angry/upset about my querying the slowness of service. like i said, bloke clearly seems to have a bad attitude
general comment: one would think that if you're going to run a cafe/restaurant that you could at least get one thing right - the thing that you're in business to do - ie, give cusotmers what they ask for, and don't bring them stuff they didn't ask for. doesn't seem unreasonable that a cafe/restaurant meet this fairly basic requirement.
top of the town pizza don't seem able to manage it.
