 New ownership... big improvement!

Take away shops seem to go in cycles. there are new owners at sea-js and with it has come a big improvement in their product. great tasting fish and chips, very good service and they are open when some are not. well done to the new owners! keep it up!

This place used to be good! now it isn't. went there earlier this week and ordered fish and chips. we had to pay a $1 surcharge for accessing our own money via eftpos. while we waited for the food to cook, we saw these signs: "please notify staff if you intend to eat in. surcharge applies. $1 per person. note: no eating in thursday, friday or saturday nights or sundays". another sign: "no coffee, tea, milkshakes, sandwiches, smokes, credit or cashout available". i get that there are items they don't want to sell, but do think the message could be more diplomatically conveyed. however, the "eating in" sign is beyond ridiculous: $1 a person and only if it is on a monday, tuesday or wednesday night (when they close early anyway)!! there are about 4 tables there for people to sit at, they never used crockery when people ate there previously so it isn't because they'd have to wash up, and who cares what night of the week it is? it's most likely the last time we will go there - the food was ordinary, the chips portion size has been reduced and it seems customers are the last thing this business wants to have!

Judging by what i read and have posted below they do not even deserve the 1 star rating i have had to give them to post this review.
seen a fb message tonight being a report on sea js tamworth.
an elderly man purchased a feed and sat at on of their tables to eat. he was approached by a young lady and told he could not sit there as it was thursday and if it was any other night it would cost him $1 for the privilege. by the way this was raining outside.
so do as they say don't stop here.
please pass this on to anyone you know.
