 Owner needs to lift his game

I have mixed feelings about rosies. great atmosphere and the girl serving us was very friendly and welcoming. the crapes we ordered were delicious.
but the coffee was sour and it had been obvious that the machine filters had not been cleaned. we politely told the owner (who was also the barista) that the coffee was sour. the response we got was very arrogant and when he later bought us back coffee he stated that we mustn?t like strong coffee, so he made us a weaker one.
both me and my girlfriend are baristas and can tell a poorly made coffee from a stronger one.
owner/barista of rosies, if you are reading this...maintain your machine, regular check your grind, and be sure to regularly check for oily residue. oily build up under the filter was a likely cause to the sour taste (a 10 second fix up)
owner, lift your game when it comes to customer service. the waitress should never have to apologise for her boss?s attitude.

 Fantastic local cafe

I'm a local and pop in to rosies quiet often, and i have only had a wonderful experience with fantastic food, great staff and very friendly. dino the owner makes u feel extremely welcome, and has high customer service. sorry for anyone that didn't experience this, but in my opinion he has a great menu, with great tasting food and generous servings.

Dining at rosies is always a pleasure. dino, the owner, is very friendly and welcoming. i always recommend rosies to friends as the food is great and the service is excellent. its a lovely place to enjoy a lunch or coffee. we too are long standing customers and keep going back because of the food and service!!!!

Rosie's has succumbed to it's average food and service. closed it's doors after christmas. maybe now someone can lift the standard and realise people out here have taste buds and like fresh food.

Sorry to hear about local's experience.
we have been long standing regular customers and have never witness any disputes or bad service. staff are always courteous and friendly.

An awful experience

We went to rosie's as we have always gone past and it looked welcoming.
we however had the worst experience at any establishment ever! getting overcharged for things we did not eat and then having the staff argue and yell at us was uncalled for.
customer service is obviously not what they care about here.. the owner was not there that day and i guess that makes all the difference as the other reviews say he is very friendly.
we will not be back again but the staff didn't seem to care about that.

A wonderful place to eat, no matter what time of the day you arrive. dino, and his staff, are very welcoming and the food is fantastic. get a table outside for a perfect alfresco setting. for me, the only downside is that the car park is small and always very packed.

Went for a drive through the gorge and came past this cafe, the owner was welcoming and loved to have a conversation. the food was great and the portions were large. if you want a nice lunch then head here if you are in the area.

Even though we left galston three years ago we still keep coming back to rosie's. the food is of a very high quality at reasonable prices and dino and his staff go out of their way to make you welcome. on a sunny day it is a great place to lunch or even just to pop in for a coffee.
