Garlic king prawns - was presented in a medium sized round container which an inch from full costing $19.80..
honey chicken - again in a smaller container, once i arrived home i noticed the chicken had no honey on it, instead a container of sweet and sour sauce...
the food was nice to eat, although upsetting with the high cost for half full containers of food!!!

Having lived in or holidayed in every aussie state or territory in australia & visited many countries we can honestly say that dragon pearl is the best chinese restuarant we have been to and ordered take away from. we now live in charlestown and when we order or recommend it's always dragon pearl!

Have been going to dragon pearl for 20 years. it is by far the best chinese i have had. the chicken wings in spiced salt are amazing. and the staff are so friendly. love it!

Very friendly staff, best fried rice i've had in australia, caters to and makes menu changes to suit vegetarians... a+. my favourites are: fried rice with soy sauce & no ham, house special mixed vegetables, prawn toast :)

Dragon pearl is a great restaurant. the food is delicious, particular favourites are chicken pieces in spiced salt, squid in spiced salt, pork fillet in plum sauce and honey chicken. the waitresses are very friendly and the kitchen staff are more than happy to chat and accomodate changes in their dishes :)

Dragon pearl is the best chinese you will eat in newcastle and surrounds. chicken pieces with spice salt (anything with spice salt) and garlic pepper chicken are to die for.
