Location 1 tumby terrace tumby bay sa 5605 phone: (08) 8688 2364 owner: sarah the boat shed caf? is located north east of port lincoln in a small country town named tumby bay just off the lincoln high way, the caf? is situated on the foreshore over looking a great view of the ocean side also recent renovations make the place match the surroundings of the sea and the town ship a great atmosphere to dine in. sarah has been the owner for some time now and understands the demand of local produce which is why the boat shed caf? is the only local cafe or restaurant that uses the local produce as a part of there ingredients, sarah is a fully qualified chef and has had some chef apprentices working for her as high demand is around christmas and easter times and the extra help is needed as it becomes very busy around the holidays but is never to crowded. the boat shed caf? also offers a great range for vegetarian and diabetic meals one of which is the gluton dairy free breakfast which is a salad you can also get a wide range of choices form vegetarian pizza to fresh yogurt and ?no dairy? salads there are many garnishes are available all in which is made local ingredients. this caf? also offers many seafood platters with a great range of garnishes and salad dressing all meals are under an average of $20 the most expensive meal is $23.90 and that?s a sea food package?, sometimes on weekends and friday nights the caf? offers a range of different specials so you can get a great range of different foods with out having to spend to much money and still receiving top quality products. refreshments are available and there is a great range of local boston wines from port lincoln one of which is called ?haldands? and many other wines are available, there are also soft drinks, coffees and teas available but more specific drinks may be ordered which is why this caf? is a great resort for people with a wide range of taste and special needs. there is an out side dining area which is great for a nice sunny day in tumby bay feeding the seagulls or coming back from a swim, the surroundings include a kind of beach an boat theme with a fish tank inside and displays on the walls. the caf? dinning hours do change with demand as the boat shed is in competition with the local hotels and caf?s but the dining hours lately are 8.30am to 7.30pm threw the week and open until 8.00pm on friday nights and weekends the caf? can also be reserved for special functions or occasions and is also able to prepare different sorts of foods if some notice is given for the occasion. out of 10 i would give this cafe an 8? because of its location and friendly service from staff and the owner also with a great taste of different foods with out putting the food overboard i would dine here again any time!.
