For years i have bought my fish and chips and seafood from darrens. it has become a family institution. grandkids love to ph ahead and pick up their order in their own little names.we think it's the best, but you'll only know if you try it yourself. not only delicious but the cheapest. win win

My wife and i googled fish and chips on the coast. we read good reviews and tried here.
are you kidding, family must be putting up the reviews.
the cooked seafood is non expensive but its rubbish. i threw most of it in the bin and the dirty oily batter is still repeating on me after 6 hours. i support small business and would usually give places a second chance before i form an opinion but i could not face that again.

Generous portions, fresh and tasty. salad was a little light on though, mostly lettuce - from a large salad only got 3 pieces tomato, but still lovely and fresh.

Great fish, there is always a problem with bones though. any piece of meat that is sold as fillet is technically surpose to have no bones. the flathead is great but has bones in it (really dumb). who wants to eat battered fish with giant sharp bones through it? the old saying goes "if you wouldn't eat it; than don't serve it to someone else to eat". when i see people serve fish like that to the public, i wounder if the owners are intellectually handicapped.

I can't believe that i have finally found a fish and chip shop that doesn't just taste like grease!!
the food is fantastic and the people who work there are always friendly and helpful.
the owner (darron) is always there and always friendly towards anyone who walks in the shop.
the shop itself is also very clean and appealing-the fresh stuff looks great!
keep up the great work team!

Wasn't really surprised by the taste.
to oily and greasy, didn't have any affect on me but was a very smelly shop.
i know i wouldn't want to go there anymore even though ive only been once
not much on an impression. :s
