| A lovely surprise |
This place really was a nice surprise. Finding ourselves at the end of a long day trip, me and a friend came across this little Roadhouse in Buxton.
The first thing that hit us was the wonderfully warm and friendly atmosphere. The second was how good the menu sounded.
Quite often when eating out, I decide quickly as there are only a few things on the menu that I like. Not the case here. In fact I wanted to try everything they were offering. Eventually I settled for a Meatlovers Parma.
Holy crap it was enormous. The chicken was real, not some frozen piece of cardboard. The topping was a fantastic mix of bacon, beef, chicken bits and cheese served with chips and salad. The whole meal was delicious. So good in fact, I kept eating well past the point of being full.
When it came time to leave (and I could sort of stand again) I found the prices to be very generous. This wonderful roadhouse takes me back to a time when good food, good service and good prices used to be the norm.
