Place is nice and modernish fish tank greets you when u 1st walk in but i got the 9 take away menu and 1st time i got sweet and sour chicken and it was a snithchel sliced with sourish sauce but not nice gave it a 2nd go today got sweet sour pork gross fatty metal tasting very wierd would not recommend for any1 cheap price is good only if the food was eatable

What can i say!! absolutely amazing. the entree, the main and the dessert had me in a food coma from go to whoa!
the me-wah of the eastern shore, i can't believe this place hasn't got more recognition it would have a michelin star if i had a say! do yourself a favour and get to the silver pearl!

 Worst take away experience ever!!!

1st and last time!! we ordered takeaway from the silver pearl two nights ago. we ordered a mixed vegetable, mixed seafood and fried rice. i was very disappointed after plating up our food when we returned home. my mixed vegetable was a plate of hard cauliflower with three pieces of carrot and 4 canned baby corn pieces with a very ordinary/ tasteless sauce). the seafood contained 3 small prawns & 2 watery scallops and one 10c coin sized piece of fish it too had the same bland sauce. the fried rice was rice with a handful of peas! i paid $40 for this food i wouldn't serve it to my dog!! i rang the silver pearl immediately to tell them of my dissapointment! the young girl who served us apologized and told me she would refund my money, i told her i would bring the food back in 5 mins and accept the refund. she told me that they were closing in 5 mins and when i was driving past next to stop in so i could collect my refund. i stopped in the following night where i was served by another young lady. i told her that i was here to collect my refund & she asked me to wait a moment. a small chinese man who was obviously the owner came from the kitchen. he asked what the problem with his food was. i told him the above story. he started shouting at me saying there is no way he is refunding my money & that that is what mixed vegetable is..... cauliflower! he keep saying no refund, there is nothing wrong with my cooking, you did not bring the food back etc. by this time another customer had walked in and i was astounded that he was still shouting at me after i was told the nigth before by a member of his staff that i would get a refund. i left in shock! but realised when i got home that the disgusting chinese was still in my bin so yep i placed it all back into the takeaway containers and drove back to return it for my money. however once again this place went back on their word and refused to refund my money and once again the man shouted at me this time with two customers eating in (proving that they obviously don't care about the dining experience of any of their customers) once again i left calmly absolutely disgusted with the way this business handled a customer complaint and dissapointment not once but twice they had gone back on their word and refused to give me a refund on food that had not been eaten due to the poor quality! never again silver pearl.

Went there to celebrate, and we will wait awhile before we go back. the fish tank at the entrance was dirty, bowls at table visibly looked clean until you touched it... wine glasses were brought over to us and dusted with a tea towel in front of us.
we had to wait an hour for our main, and one of our entrees we had been waiting on came with the main. it was cold, everyone was sniffing as it was spool cold and no heaters were put on.
the toilets were bad- holes in walls and clearly the toilets had not been cleaned in awhile to the point yellow stuff was peeling at the waters edge.
look we have been going to this restaurant for awhile but last night was slow, dirty and cold!!!

Food was terrible, we have no idea what my wife was eating but it certainly wasnt chicken. cuttlery was all dirty.....very poor all round!!!

Good food, cute little restaurant, and the service is always smiling and cheerful. it's nice, it's inexpensive, and the ingredients are fresh (this is tasmania, after all!) we use it all the time for takeaway, and we aren't the only ones.
