Disappointing

I heard about montis being one of the best fish and chips on the central coast but i was very disappointed when i drove 20 mins for some take away. when i got it home i'd realised the oil had gone through the box and paper and all over the car seat, something i had never experienced before from a fish and chip shop. the food was that oily that it could not be eaten. i've never seen anything like it.

Cash only is slightly annoying
|

Ok i have been on the coast for 5 years and enjoy fish and chips as much as the next person but i am really annoyed that there still cash only. i don't always carry cash on me and its highly inconvenient that they don't have a atm machine. that is the only bad thing.

After getting their number from this website and phoning to place an order, i set off to pick up dinner. family was waiting at home and i was feeling quite content that this was a stress free dinner after a very hot summer's day & a full day at work. on arrival, dinner was ready for pick up, but montis is cash only. please, it is 2011 !!!
anyway, the food is excellent, well worth the wait, but remember to take cash. if you forget, there is an atm at gosford police station, which is a short drive up the mann st.

Wednesday lunches

Every wednesday my family and i travel to montis for our regular lunch the staff are always smiling and have kind and friendly conversations with all their customers. i alway call ahead and never have to wait and the food is always cooked to perfection and presented well i highly recommend montis to all my friends and will continue being a regular customer.

A splendid takeaway experience

Last friday night my husband were delighted to be once again eating from our favourite take away on the coast. to our surprise we were greeted by a dashing young man we had not yet seen before whos hospitality was exceptional. we then waited for only a very short period of time as a team of 3 girls efficiently prepared our meal, handing it to us with a smile. we sat outside and opened our fresh, hot parcel to find a generous serving of crispy chips and non greasy golden battered fish that had the aromatic smell that my husband and i crave all week prior to our regular visit. thankyou yet again for a wonderfully prepared meal and for the friendly service you continue to give us on a regular basis.

Get with the times

How on earth a busy take away shop doesn't have eftpos facilities is beyond me.
perhaps the staff could tell you this when ordering over the phone rather then having to drive to the police station while your food is getting cold.

This is our local chip shop and you wont find fresher or nicer seafood any where else. good on you monti's we love your food!!!
